My Story of Success and Transformation with Sahar Education
A testimony from Marzia, Secret Scholars Online Student
I believed I was one out of millions of girls in my country who were deprived of education and learning. Like most, with the closure of schools, my entire life took a different direction; all my dreams, goals, desires, and even routines were collapsed at once. I believed myself to be destroyed and, like others, doomed to a difficult traditional life that Afghan girls have been in for decades now.
I was in the middle of depression, worries, and darkness when I heard about online education. I wasn’t hopeful till I entered and got introduced to Sahar Education (learning upgrade program). It was totally strange to learn through a game like application but bit by bit I come to the understanding that all they did were super amazing and a through way to encourage me learn in a constructive and engaging way and slowly with the support, help and encouragement of my dearest teachers and the Sahar Education mentor I rebuilt my resilience, confidence and motivation for learning.
What we are learning with Learning Upgrade
Lessons help open the students up to the world
Through the engaging but effective and innovative style of teaching in Learning Upgrade, we are exposed to a variety of handy materials in two general sections of mathematics and English, as well as an extra course in many other skills that are necessary for our professional and day-to-day lives.
What I learned wasn’t Only lessons but Much Beyond That
With Sahar Education, I not only get to learn about academics such as mathematics and the English language, but I also learned about how to be motivated, resilient, and keep trying. It was here and from the Sahar education team that I learned and grew.
Our mentors and educators always stand behind us, providing technical support and meaningful guidance to rebuild our confidence and inspire us. Joining this wonderful program, I noticed and learned that there are people around us with the strongest intentions, unwavering determination, and incredible commitment to helping us. Their behavior, attitude, and constant encouragement reminded me that I am still fighting here and there is still hope for the future.
Spark of Hope and Success
Through Learning Upgrade and working with the Sahar Education team, I now feel much stronger and more confident. I believe in the power of education for transformation and building a better future. Here I learned that even when we are drowned in darkness, still a gate will open up, which for me, this program was the opening gate. Now I firmly hold my hope and fight because I know people are supporting and fighting for me.
