Art as Healing, Expression, and Resistance

Art holds the power to heal, to express the inexpressible, and to resist oppression.

At this moment, young Afghan girls participating in Sahar’s Underground TechSheroes program are engaging in art therapy as a means of creative expression. In a world that too often seeks to silence them, these girls are reclaiming their voices through courage and creativity. Their work deserves to be seen, heard, and uplifted.

You are invited to join this movement of expression and empowerment by participating in Sahar-e-Adab, a poetry, essay, and art contest hosted by Vellichor Literary in support of Sahar Education.

Submissions are open through August 31, 2025.
